About Us

Serene Place provides residents a stable and safe place to live in Southeast Houston. Our goal is to assist our residents to overcome or manage their substance use of alcohol and drugs. Our environment is to support residents in making healthy choices that support physical and emotional wellbeing.

We have 24-hour staff as well as peer specialists that encourage residents in their recovery journey. The home is here to help provide structure and a safe environment for residents to help them obtain their freedom from substance abuse and a strategy to maintain long term recovery. By doing what we do our hope is to help residents become productive members of society as well as restore relationships and friendships.

As a recovery home we are designed to be comfortable and spacious. There are 4 public transportation locations within a one block area. Upon arrival each resident will be assigned a bed with linens, towels, laundry bag, and hygiene products. The house provides all utilities, washer and dryer, laundry supplies, WI-FI, and supplies for cleaning.
